Statement of Faith

The Bible

I believe the Bible is God’s Word — fully inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative for faith and life. It was written by people who were guided by the Holy Spirit, and it remains the foundation for everything I believe and practice in ministry.

God

I believe in one God who exists in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are fully and equally God, yet distinct in their persons. God is eternal, holy, loving, and personally involved in His creation.

God the Father

I believe God the Father is the Creator and sustainer of all things. He is perfectly good and loving, and He invites us into relationship with Him. He hears our prayers and is deeply concerned with every part of our lives.

Jesus Christ

I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. He rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will one day return. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we have forgiveness and the hope of eternal life.

The Holy Spirit

I believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and lives in every person who trusts in Jesus. He convicts us of sin, comforts us, guides us, and empowers us to live the life God calls us to. He is the one who brings about real change in our hearts.

Salvation

I believe we are all broken by sin and unable to save ourselves. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. When a person repents and trusts in Jesus, they are forgiven, made new, and brought into relationship with God — both now and forever.

The Church

I believe the Church is made up of all who have trusted in Jesus. It is not a building or an organization, but a family of people called to love God and love others. I believe in the importance of the local church and in believers walking together in community.

Baptism

I believe baptism is an outward sign of an inward reality — a public declaration of faith in Jesus and identification with His death and resurrection. I welcome both those who practice believer’s baptism and those who were baptized as infants, as long as there is genuine faith in Christ.

Christian Living

I believe followers of Jesus are called to live lives marked by love, integrity, humility, and compassion. We are called to be people of presence — especially with those who are hurting, forgotten, or marginalized.

Marriage and Human Dignity

I believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, as given by God. I also believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their past or present circumstances.

Religious Liberty

I believe every person has the right to seek God and follow their conscience in matters of faith. I do not believe the government should control or interfere with the Church, nor should the Church seek to control the government through political power.
