I sit with men and young guys inside TJJD and TDCJ facilities, and with families on the outside. Sometimes a church, employer, or agency needs that same presence in a room for a day — a retreat, a memorial, a staff gathering, a debrief after a hard incident.
I am not here to headline the event. I am here to pray if asked, stay if needed, and not make the day about me.
Who this is for
Staff kickoffs, retreats, and all-hands.
Memorials and grief gatherings.
Critical-incident debriefs.
Men’s events, church nights, and Kairos-adjacent weekends.
Agency or nonprofit team days.
When an opening prayer is not enough.
If the need is ongoing staff care, use Workplace or Organizations. If the need is a unit visit or family support, those pages stay the front door.
What I will do
- Open or close in prayer if you ask
- Sit with people before and after the program
- Make space for a quiet conversation
- Help a leader think through the first hours after a hard event
- Follow up myself if someone asks
What I will not do
- Deliver a motivational talk
- Replace the pastor, the HR lead, or the host
- Collect names from the room for a list
- Turn a private moment into a post
- Say yes to every invite
The unit table and the families come first.
How we start
Connect → Plan → Serve. Scoped to the room, not a keynote.
Date, place, who will be in the room, what you actually need.
We write the scope: prayer only, presence through the event, or stay-after care.
I show up, stay in lane, and leave a way to reach me after.
Cost
There is no cost to facilities or families for pastoral care.
Event and workplace presence is scoped separately.
If the gathering is for families of the incarcerated, or a memorial tied to a unit, tell me. We will treat that as ministry, not a contract.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”Galatians 6:2 (NIV)
Questions hosts ask
Is this a speaking request?
No. If you need a talk, say that in the note. Most rooms need presence, not a microphone.
Can you only pray at the beginning?
Yes.
Will this be on social media?
Not without permission. Usually not at all.
Do you travel past North Texas?
North Texas first. Farther than that, we talk.
How much notice do you need?
A week is kind. A hard day is different. Call or text 214-735-9356.
Is there a cost?
Facility and family care stay free. Event and workplace presence is arranged separately. Say what the gathering is for when you reach out.
Next step
Tell me the date, the room, and what you actually need. I reply personally.
