Kris Cruz Chaplain Ministry (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit www.kriscruz.com or interact with our ministry online.

This site is operated by Chaplain Kris Cruz to provide information about workplace, organizational, and correctional chaplaincy services in North Texas. We do not sell your personal information.

We collect information you voluntarily provide, depending on how you interact with the site:

Contact form

When you submit the contact form, we may receive your name, email address, audience type (employer, organization, facility, family, donor, etc.), organization or facility name, and your message. This information is used to respond to pastoral, partnership, or support requests.

Newsletter signups

When you subscribe to Ministry Updates in the Resources section, we collect the information you enter in the signup form (typically your email address and, if provided, your name). Signups are sent to our server endpoint and stored in MailerLite only. If double opt-in is enabled in MailerLite, you must confirm by email before receiving updates. Updates may include new handouts, Scripture teaching videos, and chaplaincy news.

Online giving

If you donate through GiveButter, payment and donor information is collected directly by GiveButter on their secure platform. We do not store credit card or bank details on kriscruz.com.

Direct communication

If you call or text 214-735-9356, email or iMessage us at chaplain@kriscruz.com, we receive whatever information you include. Phone and text conversations happen through your carrier and our devices—not as form fields stored on this website. Email and iMessage are handled through those providers’ systems.

Pastoral care and confidentiality

Website forms, newsletter lists, and donation records are ministry operations data used to respond, serve, and stay in touch when you ask. That is different from confidential pastoral care offered in person, by phone, or in other ministry settings. We do not use website tools to report private pastoral conversations to an employer, facility, or family unless you ask us to, or the law requires it. Spiritual care on this site is not licensed clinical counseling or therapy.

External links

Our site links to external services and ministries, including Scripture Unlocked Today on YouTube, Kairos Prison Ministry, Christian Chaplains & Coaching, and online giving through GiveButter. When you leave kriscruz.com by clicking one of these links, the destination site’s own privacy policy applies. We do not receive your YouTube account information or viewing history from those links.

Automatic technical information

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights on kriscruz.com to understand how visitors use the site and how pages perform. These tools collect aggregated, privacy-friendly metrics such as page views, referring pages, device type, and Core Web Vitals (for example, load speed and layout stability). They are designed for site improvement—not for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building marketing profiles. We do not use Google Analytics or similar advertising analytics tools on this site.

Technical and agent access

This site may expose limited technical endpoints so automated tools (for example, AI agents) can register with a verified email and receive short-lived credentials to call certain APIs. Registration and token data used for that access may be stored on our infrastructure so we can issue and revoke credentials securely. These flows are not used for marketing lists. Operational jobs (such as scheduled publishing) use separate infrastructure credentials and are not the same as public newsletter or contact data.

Newsletter subscriber data is retained in MailerLite until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Donation records are retained by GiveButter according to their policies. Technical credentials for agent or API access are kept only as long as needed to secure those features.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information submitted through this site. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
